LO1: How to Analyze Audience Profile.
Demographic is based on these areas: age, sexuality, gender, income, education and occupation. It is the study of population-based on factors such as gas, race and sex, it refers to socioeconomic information which expressed statistically including employment, education, income, marriage rates, birth and death rates and more. It is known as an outdated way of gaining audience information.
Furthermore, audiences can also be defined by psychometrics. This is defined by mainly occupation and income. The first one is called the successor, these are upper middle class people. They have already gained a title and money are usually highly educated. Then there is the mainstreamers, this group of people make up 40% of the population. They like security and enjoy belonging to a group, this psychographic would mainly be interested in listening to the mainstream radios such as BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM. Furthermore, the next psychometric is the aspirers, these people want a status and the esteem of others. They enjoy owning designer labels. the next ones are the reformers, they define themselves
