LO1 M1: Radio programme report.

Programme name: Going Home with Vick and Jordan.

Station it is on: BBC Radio 1

Presenters: Jordan North and Vick Hope.

Start time: 3:30pm

End time: 6:00pm

Structure:

At the start of the programme there is a small intro that introduces use to the hosts, it has an upbeat feel to the jingle as it is celebrating the end of the day. The first part of the show is last nights hottest record, this changes every day based on what the listeners think is the hottest record. Although some songs have stayed as the hottest record for a while. Moving onto the next part of programme they have their own take on a court room where Jordan North takes on an alter ego as a judge and listeners call in and tell him their predicaments. The final part of the programme is where they asked their listeners  something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue" basically they get a listener to chose a song that fits into the categories of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. An example of this on the programme the "something new" song was Down Under by Luude. The final part of the programme is just some music until the news comes on.

Production Techniques:

At the start of the show there is a jingle that is played which is mixed with a robot voice with some static mixed while it says "radio one" and as they talk there is a subtle bit of music it behind it as they get into the show. They use normal recording mics to record their voice and the show is streamed live across all BBC Radio and sounds platforms. As they finish their opening conversion a jingle plays which says the show name "going home with Vick and Jordan" as the music from the jingle fades out. After the jingle plays it goes straight into the next with the ending of the jingle fading into the first song.
